Library hosts pumpkin carving contest

WESTERN SULLIVAN COUNTY — The Western Sullivan Public Library will hold a pumpkin carving contest for children of all ages at all three branches. Pre-registration is required to reserve a pumpkin, with a deadline of Wednesday, October 15. Children must be accompanied by an adult and bring their own carving tools. Pumpkins will be provided by the library. There will be prizes for the funniest, scariest, prettiest and most original.

At the Jeffersonville branch, the Pumpkin Carving contest will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. At the Delaware Free Branch in Callicoon, the contest will be held on Thursday, October 23 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. At the Tusten-Cochecton branch, the contest will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. For more information call 845/482-4350.
