JEFFERSONVILLE, NY—When people work together toward a common goal, the results are often awe-inspiring. (See feature, “Trail tale,” on page 19).

On September 23, the trail made its unofficial debut as the cross-country teams from Sullivan West, Tri-Valley and Livingston Manor traversed the wood chip course in a meet under a beautiful blue sky of an early fall afternoon.

That’s saying something for a veteran of the Warwick/Minisink Valley wars. In the heated fray with the Lady Bulldogs, Rebecca Scherer had four goals, Paulina Kleinberger had two and Jasmine Walizadeh provided the game winner for Liberty’s only win to date.
