Impeachment play rescheduled
HONESDALE, PA A play portraying the impeachment of George W. Bush that was scheduled for viewing in September has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 at 6:00 p.m. in the Wayne County Library. Waynepeace is sponsoring the DVD showing of the production. It is free to all. Refreshments will be served.
Created by screenwriter Richard Lasser and constitutional lawyer Bruce Fein, the play starts when the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court calls the Senate to order to begin the impeachment trial of George W. Bush. Thus begins a battle of titans. Powerful legal minds lock horns over whether the President should be removed from office for high crimes and misdemeanors. In the first act, seemingly incontrovertible evidence of Bushs guilt piles up, but in the second act, George W. Bush testifies, indicting a complicit Congress, a silent press and an apathetic public of being just as guilty as he is. In the end, its up to each individual to decide where the truth lies.
All are welcome to this free showing. The use of the Wayne County library by Waynepeace does not constitute an endorsement of Waynepeace policies or beliefs by the library.
