Favorite Agard returns

to First Friday’s writers event

NARROWSBURG, NY — First Friday’s Contemporary Writers Series will host Roger Bonair Agard from Brooklyn, NY by way of Trinidad on October 3 at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library.

Agard’s command of the stage coupled with lush, poignant writing, from his experiences growing up in Trinidad to NYC’s urban chaos, leaves audiences breathless. ( see indiefeedpp.libsyn.com/index.php?search_string=rogerbonairagard.com&search=1 ). At his last First Fridays event, there was standing room only.

The short feature will be Molly Brown. Brown grew up in Sweet Briar, VA and is a freshman at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA. Her poem “Terra Incognita” will be published in the November 2008 issue of the Kenyon Review.

First Fridays is always free. Open mic starts at 7:30 p.m., with signup at 7:00. One poem or song of five minutes or less is allowed per person.
