Community potluck features Halloween costume swap

Nate Reece of Lake Ariel, PA brought one of his toys to give away to another child during a toy swap at the recent Community Potluck held in Lords Valley, PA. The free meals have been organized as a way to satisfy hunger for food and community. All are welcome. The events include an opportunity for children to get into the spirit of sharing to gain a better understanding of their role as community members. Next month, instead of toys, participants will be invited to contribute Halloween costumes they no longer need. The potlucks are held on the first Friday of the month, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at changing locations in Pike and Wayne counties. The next one is scheduled for October 3 at the Wallenpaupack Area High School in Hawley, PA. Bring a dish to share, or contribute by helping to set up or clean up.
