‘por-trait’ opens at Outsider’s Studio

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Outsider’s Studio of Livingston Manor will hold an opening reception for its new show, “por-trait,” on Saturday, September 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This exhibit showcases the local and regional talents of Madelon Jones, Kit Jones, Jane Klein, Carmine Santaniello, Nancy Sampson, Marc Travanti, Susan Ward and Robyn Wood.

“por-trait” also includes Jonathan Hyman’s special photographic memorial of the September 11 attacks featured in the recent September 12 edition of The Sullivan County Democrat. Mr. Hyman’s work at the Outsider’s Studio is part of a larger collection which has been shown at museums in New York City as well as Washington, D.C. and across Europe, receiving critical acclaim from artists, educators, and historians alike.

The exhibit will run through Sunday, October 26. Located in an old liquor store at 41B Main Street, The Outsider’s Studio continues to support the work of trained and untrained artists working outside the fringes of traditional art.
