‘Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain’

HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne County Arts Alliance (WCAA) will offer a class, “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain,” on Thursdays starting September 18 and continuing through November 20. The classes, which will be led by Hana Gorman, will run from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The innovative art class, appropriate for all levels, is designed to help anyone develop the skills necessary for drawing with confidence. The 10-week class will expand abilities and enhance creativity.

Gorman is a WCAA member and professor artist who is certified in the Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain teaching methods. Based on the pioneering research of Dr. Betty Edwards, the class helps individuals “learn to see” and then to draw what they see. Most children have the natural ability to draw, and this class will reawaken that ability.

Classes will be held at the WCAA office located at 742 Main Street. The cost is $135 for WCAA members and $150 for non-members.
