Tri-Valley hosts country music legends

GRAHAMSVILLE — Country music stars Whispering Bill Anderson and Little Jimmy Dickens will perform at Tri-Valley Central School on Friday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m.

Anderson has been voted Songwriter of the Year six times. His hits include “Po’ Folks” and “The Tips of My Fingers.” His compositions have been recorded by artists including Ray Price, Jerry Lee Lewis and Alison Krauss.

Dickens comes from humble beginnings in the tiny community of Bolt, WV. He has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1948 and entered the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1983. One of his songs, “Take an Old Cold Tater and Wait,” earned him the nickname of “Tater” from Hank Williams Sr.
