Wally and the Paupacks serenade First Friday

Event lineup includes classic cars, open mic, pastel portraits and more

HAWLEY, PA — The Hawley First Friday Concert Series continues on Friday, September 5 when Wally and the Paupacks return to Bingham Park for music, food and fun.

The concert is free and begins at 7:30 p.m. at the bandstand in Bingham Park. Food, including hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs as well as beverages will be available for purchase.

First Friday activities begin in Hawley at 5:00 p.m., as many downtown stores stay open late and feature specials and First Friday discounts. There is also a classic car show on Keystone Street and the Hawley Farmers Market will be open at the Hawley Train Station.

A professional pastel artist will be available for portraits while you wait at the Artisan Gallery on Main Street, and there will be hot sauce tasting and more at Penny Lane Candies and Candles on Church Street. Something new for the September First Friday will be the first First Friday raffle. Free raffle tickets to win “A Weekend in Hawley” can be obtained at participating stores. The winner will then be drawn at 9:00 p.m. during the Wally and the Paupacks concert at Bingham Park.

Area musicians and singers are invited to sing or perform from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Miss Elly’s Antiques and Such on Church Street. Hawley’s open mic is free and everyone is welcome.
