Tractor show and barbeque honors Wayne firefighter

BEACH LAKE, PA — The Beach Lake Volunteer Fire Company will memorialize its 2007 Wayne County Firefighter of the Year, Mike Bryant, with the first annual Memorial Tractor Show & Field Day on Saturday, September 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held at the firehouse and Beach Lake United Methodist Church.

Bryant was a devoted firefighter who loved riding his family’s “H” tractor in local parades. For a $25 registration fee per tractor, participants can enter their favorite tractor in one of 10 tractor show categories for judging and prizes. In addition to the tractor show, the day will include live music by area bands, a raffle, kids’ games and burgers and hot dogs by the Beach Lake United Methodist Church Youth Group.

The entry fee of $8.50 includes one barbeque chicken dinner. Tickets will be available Pet Central, Calkins Creamery retail store or by contacting any member of the Fire Company. Dinners will be available for pick-up between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. at the event.

All proceeds from the Mike Bryant Memorial Tractor Show & Field Day will benefit the Beach Lake Volunteer Fire Company and The Michael J. Bryant Memorial Fund.
