Meet Debra Winger at Hamish & Henry Booksellers

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Debra Winger, the three-time Oscar nominee and star of “Terms of Endearment,” “An Officer and a Gentleman” and many other films, will read from her new book, “Undiscovered,” on Saturday, August 30 at 5:00 p.m. at Hamish and Henry Booksellers. The reading will be followed by a book signing.

As New York Times film critic Vincent Canby wrote, “It’s just possible that Debra Winger can do anything.” In “Undiscovered,” her first book, she reveals that her creative range extends from the screen to the page. The book is a series of short essays about the past dozen years of her life, the years since she quit acting in big-time motion pictures and elected to live, for the most part, on a farm in the Catskills with her sons, a stepson and her husband. It’s about gardening, spiritual exploration, her work on the land and her life as a mother.
