Local filmmakers showcased by Outsiders Studio
LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY The Outsiders Studio will celebrate local film makers with Indie Cinema, a showing of films at the former fly-fishing shop next to the studio at 41A Main Street at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30.
Dinosaur or Meteor is a three-minute film by Joanna Hartell, which Tucson Filmmaker Magazine said had people jumping out of their seats. I Love His Legs, by Tony Eastman and J Michael McNeil, is a documentary film that takes an honest and tough look at actor and transvestite Dennis Dike as a survivor of his own ambisexual labyrinth. Bird In The Hand, a film by Donnie Myers and Shane Paulsen, is a fascinating romp through the Catskills, including a tour de force of lesbian witches and Parksville town members as they search for a fabled bird worth $2 million. The Debruce Democrat described it as An original and fascinating look at greed, deception, and ultimate redemption.
The Outsiders Studio describes the films as rated NFKBWDYE (not for kids but what did you expect). Seating is limited.
