Jazz takes to the streets in Liberty
LIBERTY, NY The Liberty Jazz Festival is back again for the fourth year, with events to be held from Thursday, August 28 to Saturday, August 30.
On Thursday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. there will be Jazz in the Catskills, a live interview of long-time Catskills jazz performer Larry Ravdin by Walter Keller, at the Liberty Museum & Arts Center at 46 South Main Street. On Friday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. there will be Friday Night Jazz on Main Street, featuring Larry Ravdin and Al DeFino performing live jazz at the Liberty Museum & Arts Center. On Saturday, August 30 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Liberty Music & Arts Pavilion on North Main Street, there will be performances by The Jazz Poets, the Inner Urge Jazz Quartet and SJP. All Liberty Jazz Festival events are free.
The Liberty Jazz Festival is produced by Sullivan Performing Arts, with assistance from David Dann, and sponsored by The Liberty Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation, The First National Bank of Jeffersonville, Gitlin & Associates, The Town Crier, Thunder Country 102 and The Catskill Shopper.
