Stop the Violence Summer Jam

MONTICELLO, NY — The DREAM Tank and the Monticello Communities that Care (MTC) will hold a “Stop the Violence Summer Jam” community block party on Saturday, August 30 near Prince Street on Broadway from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. There will be a DJ, live musical performances from DREAM Tank graduates, The Daytop Sound Band and other local vocalists and dancers. Activities will also include inflatables, face painting, skateboard and Double Dutch competitions and slam-dunk and three-on-three tournaments. There will also be a singing and freestyle lyric competition.

Prizes will be awarded for all competitions and contests with sponsorships from the DREAM Tank and Hudson Health Plan.

Non-profit and other agency vendors will be on hand to offer information and distribute materials on services available throughout Sullivan County. There will also be merchandise vendors as well as the local businesses located along Broadway.
