Callaway makes it 17

WHITE LAKE, NY — This weekend, one of the most popular performers at the Bradstan Country Hotel’s Sunday cabarets will make her 17th appearance there. Ann Hampton Callaway will be in the Nancy LaMott on Sunday, August 24 at 7:00 and 9:30 p.m.

Callaway was nominated for the Tony Award for her performance on Broadway in “Swing!” and is the recipient of numerous Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs MAC Awards for performing, composing and recording. She has had three of her songs recorded by Barbra Streisand, including the song that Barbra sang to James Brolin on their wedding day, “I Have Dreamed of You,” and has performed at virtually every major cabaret venue in the United States and many in Europe. Many will remember Callaway for her writing and performing of the theme song for the hit CBS television comedy series, “The Nanny.”

Callaway has also done work for film, and made her feature film debut opposite Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon in the Robert DeNiro film “The Good Shepherd,” performing the standard “Come Rain or Come Shine.” On television she has appeared on The Today Show, CNN, The Charlie Rose Show, Live with Larry King, The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC News, PBS and the BBC. She performed for President Clinton in Washington and was the invited guest performer for the former President Gorbachev’s Youth Peace Summit in Moscow.
