Globalization hits the comedy stage
with Kennedy at Monticello Raceway
MONTICELLO, NY Andrew Kennedy will bring his act to Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club at Monticello Gaming & Raceway on Saturday, August 9. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m.
The bilingual comedian spent his first 13 years traveling the globe. Kennedy lived in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Hong Kong before his family settled in suburban Connecticut. He blends his unique experiences growing up globally with the daily happenings around his Connecticut neighborhood.
His colorful upbringing has earned him a taping for Comedy Central Presents, performances at the Montreal Comedy Festival, pilots for CBS and appearances on Univisions Upfront presentation. This fall, Kennedy will headline the film, Manhattan Comedy Nights.
Tickets cost $15.
Catch A Rising Star comedy clubs have been a tradition since 1972 when the first club opened in New York City. Catch has an impressive roster of alumni: among them, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Rosie ODonnell, Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Maher.
