All about log homes

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Nationally renowned design expert Barbara Winfield will discuss and sign her latest book, “Dream Log Homes & Plans,” at Hamish & Henry Booksellers on August 9 at 3:00 p.m.

More people are building log homes than ever before. In fact, according to the Log Home Council (LHC) of the National Association of Home Builders, sales have doubled over the last decade. “Dream Log Home & Plans” addresses the design needs of existing and potential log home owners and offers inspiration and advice for adding custom, personal touches.

As a writer and designer, Winfield’s career has spanned many areas of the home furnishings industry. Former editor of Woman’s Day Home Remodeling Magazine, Winfield is a recipient of the Dallas Market Center Editorial Award. Her book “The Complete Book of Home Details” was published by Crescent Books in 1994. She has a home in Jeffersonville.
