Museum at Bethel Woods wins MUSE awards

BETHEL, NY — The Museum at Bethel Woods is the recipient of two 2008 MUSE awards from the American Association of Museums for outstanding achievement in museum media.

Now in its 19th year, the MUSE awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement in museum media. “The Festival Experience,” produced by The Museum at Bethel Woods with Cortina Productions, received the Bronze award for Multimedia Installations, which included immersive installations featuring video walls, or installations of multimedia that do not require interactivity.

“1968: A Year That Shook America”, received an Honorable Mention in the Video category. Entries were limited to videos with no audience participation, including animations, and linear and nonlinear narratives. It is a 10-minute film that tells a compelling story of a watershed year in American history.
