CAS debuts summer performance series

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — In the first event of its summer performance series, the Catskill Arts Society (CAS) will present “Fragile Live,” an evening of music and film, on Saturday, July 26 at 8:00 p.m. at 48 Main Street. New York City-based composer Chris Marianetti, playing 10 wine glasses, will lead a group of three musicians through an improvised set based on his musical score for the film “Fragile,” a collaboration by filmmaker Jonathan Vitagliano and artist John Lawson.

The evening will continue with a screening of the film to live accompaniment and all of the collaborators present for a question and answer session. Light refreshments will be served.

Admission costs $5.

The Catskill Art Society is a non-profit cultivating public interest, participation and enjoyment of the arts. Through its multi-arts center, CAS explores contemporary art practices and facilitates creative and professional development for established and emerging artists.
