PPL open house: dam tours, kids’ activities

LAKE WALLENPAUPACK, PA — PPL Corporation will host its fourth annual open house at the Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25. Visitors can tour the dam and power plant, view exhibits, take part in entertaining activities for all ages and enjoy refreshments available all day.

Guided tours of the dam and powerhouse will depart from the learning center beginning at 1:00 p.m., with the last one leaving at 5:00 p.m.

Environmental activities for children include trying their luck at a fishpond and making pine cone bird feeders. PPL representatives will be available to answer questions about obtaining PPL shoreline permits.
