The jewel-like eyes of the Northern green frog feature a gold iris surrounding a black oval pupil. The frog can reach up to four inches in length.

This Northern green frog perched at the front entrance to The River Reporters offices on Erie Avenue in Narrowsburg, NY last week. Mesmerized by a gentle rainfall, the glowing green amphibian posed for a quick photo shoot before leaping down a set of stone steps leading to Little Lake Erie behind the building.
