Environmental literacy for kids

MILFORD, PA — A free program that promotes literacy and environmental awareness among young children will be offered on Friday mornings this summer beginning July 4 at Grey Towers National Historic Site.

The Reading Ranger program, geared for youngsters aged four through nine, includes a read-aloud story and craft activity. Both the book and the craft activity will focus on an environmental or nature topic.

The programs, which begin at 10:00 a.m., are scheduled for Fridays, July 4, 11, 18 and 25. They are free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Reservations are suggested.
