Looking for talent in Liberty

LIBERTY, NY — Liberty will host its first open-air talent show, Talentfest, on Saturday, July 12, beginning at 12:00 noon at the summer stage on North Main Street, next to LaPolt Park.

The organizers are calling on all residents and visitors with talents big and small to register to perform. Singers and dancers, readers of poetry, mavericks on traditional or not so traditional instruments, comedians, magicians and fearless acrobats are all welcome to join the line-up and entertain the audience and themselves with demonstrations of skills, chutzpah and imagination.

Performers are asked to register by July 8 to allow the organizers to put the schedule together. Registration forms are available at the Liberty Fitness Center, Floyd & Bobo’s Bakery, the town’s Park & Recreation office and Anthony’s Barber Shop.

Liberty Talentfest was initiated by Cindy Fracasse from Liberty Fitness and Louie Petraglia from Floyd & Bobo’s Bakery, and is supported by Anthony’s Barber Shop, the Town of Liberty Parks & Recreation department and the Liberty Community Development Corporation.
