Milford Music Festival announces lineup

MILFORD, PA — The line-up for the 2008 Milford Music Festival was announced on Thursday, June 5 at the annual fundraiser, held at Laurel Villa Country Inn and Restaurant. The festival, set for Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, will focus on local artists, and feature several dynamic newcomers including the winners of Milford Chrysler’s talent contest last year.

Headlining the Milford Music Festival this year will be local musical veteran Bobby Kyle. The Bobby Kyle Band has had a long, varied career that has led them all over the world. Kyle’s original songs tell the story of Everyman with a passion born of life, love and loss.

Other local artists include the Ray Weeks Quartet, Violinist Eugene Fiegelson, the Scott Weis Band, The Ronny Whyte Trio and Eric Langberg and Bluestone, who will be performing on Sunday as a part of the Music in the Park portion of the festival.

Also playing the festival will be the Wilkes-Barre native band Zydecal, a five-man group that heats up the dance floor with the Cajun/Zydeco music of southwestern Louisiana; and last year’s Milford Chrysler Talent Contest Winner from New York City, the Easy Tease, a burlesque indie-rock cabaret act.
