Gospel music down by the lake

BEACH LAKE, PA — There will be four Whispering Pines Gospel Music Concerts held lakeside behind Beach Lake United Methodist Church at sunset this summer. The first, featuring the group Renewed, will be held on Sunday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m.

A tradition for over 25 years, these concerts are held rain or shine, and all the indoor and outdoor facilities are handicapped friendly. Three concerts will be preceded by a dinner at the church’s fellowship hall at 5:00 p.m., all for the same free-will donation requested for the concert. The fourth, on July 21, will be preceded by an ice cream sundae blowout.

The theme of the first dinner is “Men’s Grill Mania.” The second concert, on July 6, will feature Earth’s Angels, and be preceded by a Cuban Feast dinner. The third concert will be on July 20 and feature Gospel Bond. The final event will occur on August 3, featuring Choraliers & Pearl, preceded by a Golden Harvest dinner.

Permanent seating is available for 60, or bring your own lawn chair.
