Choralaires, Oxford Depot serenade Central Park

HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne Choralaires will be featured at this week’s Wayne County Creative Arts Council concert in Central Park on Monday, June 23. Their musical theme will be “This is Our Song,” and the concert will range from Moses Hogan’s “Music Down in My Soul,” music from the ‘40s and ‘50s and a ‘60s medley from “Jersey Boys.”

The second half of the program will feature songs like “What a Wonderful World,” “Turkey in the Straw” and “Ride the Chariot.” The group will pay a special tribute to our Armed Forces with service songs and “The Star Spangled Banner.” Directed by Pat Spoor with Martha Heinly on the piano, this group has been a favorite regular with the Summer Festival since its first concert in 1967.

Oxford Depot will headline the Thursday, July 26 concert.
