Time to take a chance for Roots & Rhythm

HONESDALE, PA — This quilted wall hanging, seen held by creator and donor Jacki Murphy, owner of A Stitch in Time, will be one of many unusual prizes raffled off at this year’s Roots & Rhythm festival, to be held on Friday, June 20 through Sunday, June 21. The annual raffle is a big part of the funding for the festival, and without the generous donations of local community businesses and artists would not be possible. The drawing will be held at approximately 8:00 p.m. from the Main Stage in Central Park on Saturday, June 21. Among other prizes available this year are a 26-inch Toshiba Flat Panel LCD HDTV donated by Music & Video Express and a custom guitar built by Peter Florance and hand painted by artist Jeff George and valued at $5,500.

Tickets cost $5 each and, new this year, $25 for six tickets. A full list of raffle ticket locations and their hours of operation may be found at the festival’s official web site, honesdalerootsandrhythm.com.
