Chant hosts artists’ reception

for Art After Dark

MILFORD, PA — Davis Chant Realtors at 106 E. Haford Street will host a wine and cheese art premiere for Yolanda Riggle and Barbara Briden on Saturday, June 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. as part of Milford’s Art After Dark event.

Riggle’s believes that there are levels of energies that we can consciously use to provide movement; however, many are unconsciously directing our lives. These are the energies that she hopes to capture for her own and for others observation. She anchors her energies in daily prayer and meditation, which she then brings into her art. She works various mediums, including pen and ink, magic markers, glue and glitter.

Barbara Briden primarily works in watercolor, often pouring layers of primary background color to lend a sense of spontaneity and luminosity to her paintings. Five years ago, she moved from New Jersey to Lake Wallenpaupack, where she paints en plein air locally and creates portrait studies in her studio. She travels extensively and finds her sketch books, travel journals and photographs a great help and inspiration for her work.
