CALLICOON, NY — The weekend of Callicoon’s 12th annual tractor parade is upon us. The parade will step off at 12:00 noon on Sunday, June 8, and will be followed by the traditional barbeque at the Delaware Youth Center.

Postal Service offers special tractor parade postmark

The Postal Service is offering a special pictorial 12th Annual Tractor Parade Station Postmark at the event on Sunday, June 8. It will provide the postmark at 36 Lower Main Street from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Those who can’t get to the parade but who wish to obtain the pictorial postmark may do so at the Callicoon post office, or may submit a mail order request.

Requests must be postmarked no later than 30 days following the requested pictorial postmark date. Items submitted for postmark may not include postage issued after the date of the requested postmark. Customers wishing to obtain a postmark should affix stamps to an envelope or postcard, address it to themselves or others, insert a card of postcard thickness in envelopes for sturdiness, and tuck in the flap.

Place the envelope or postcard in a larger envelope and address it to: PICTORIAL POSTMARK, 12th Annual Tractor Parade Station Postmark, Postmaster Callicoon, NY 12723 before July 7. Customers can also send stamped envelopes and postcards without addresses for postmark, as long as they supply a larger envelope with adequate postage and their return address.
