Dinner, performance and talk at the sanctuary
LAKE ARIEL, PA Lacawac Sanctuary will host renowned installation artist Michael Hardesty on Saturday, June 7. Hardesty, who lives in Wayne County and is a member of the Wayne County Arts Alliance, has work on permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His visually aided talk is guaranteed to provoke questions.
The event is the first of three planned by the sanctuary, each of which will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the Carriage House followed by a buffet supper at the lodge. On Saturday, August 9, Elliot Rosoff and Friends will present works of Classical Fusion, a term well-known violinist Elliot Rosoff uses to describe a kind of music-making he has championed for more than a decade. On Saturday, October 4, Viji Rao of Philadelphia, and Eswari Sriram of Clarks Summit will speak about and demonstrate the ancient art form of Bharatanatyam. An opportunity for discussion and questions will follow each event.
Reservations are required. Ticket prices are $15 for performance only, $45 for performance and supper and $100 for performance and supper for all three shows.
