Hillbilly hijinks at a dinner theatre mystery

WOODBOURNE, NY — The Woodbourne Action Committee will sponsor Blue Sky Productions in a performance of Peter DiPietro’s “The Hilarious Hillbilly Massacre” at a fundraising dinner show at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at the Loch Sheldrake Fire Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The play is an audience participation murder mystery set at the annual Birchbumble Family Reunion. Reunion hosts are Huck Birchbumble, performed by Mike Valentine of Livingston Manor; his wife Gardenia, played by Carol Montana of Grahamsville; daughter Sally Mae, played by Connie Lawrence of Divine Corners; daughter Mary Lou, performed by S. Lavelle of Liberty; Sally Mae’s boy friend, Jethro Brylcream, performed by Thunder 102 DJ Paul Ciliberto of Hurleyville; and IRS/FBI agent Clem/Darryl Serendipity, performed by Lonnie Smith of Divine Corners. Directed by Carol Montana of Grahamsville, the show is a benefit for the Loch Sheldrake Fire Department.

Tickets cost $25 and include a three-course dinner and the show. Guests are invited to B.Y.O.M. (moonshine that is).

The Hilarious Hillbilly Massacre features mature humor, and is not recommended for children.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the festivities start promptly at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
