HELEN E.COACCI
Helen E. Coacci of Damascus, PA, passed away on April 19, 2008 at her home following an illness. She was 78.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julio Johnny Coacci, who died in 1996. The couple married in 1953 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Born January 30, 1930 in Greenpoint, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella Lasko. Later she and her family moved to New Jersey. After retiring in 1994 she and her husband moved to Pennsylvania.
Helen enjoyed playing bingo and trips to Atlantic City. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist parish in Honesdale, PA and attended St. Josephs Church in Rileyville, PA and St. Francis Xavier Church in Narrowsburg, NY; and was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary V.F.W. Post 531. She will be remembered as a loving housewife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are sons Tom Coacci and wife Cecilia of Damascus and Jimmy Coacci and wife Lori of Sayreville; NJ; brother Fred Lasko of Bethpage, Long Island; sister Anna Mazanowski of Greenpoint; seven grandchildren and one great grandson; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers Leo, Michael and Nicholas Lasko.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 26, 2008 at Josephs Church in Rileyville, and interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Damascus.

THOMAS M. CONEY
Thomas M. Coney of Smallwood, NY, a lifetime area resident, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was 66.
The son of Arthur and Alice Starr Coney, he was born on December 31, 1941 in Monticello, NY.
He was retired from Verizon in South Fallsburg, NY where he was a foreman. An active member of the White Lake, NY Reformed Presbyterian Church, he served as deacon and was the founder of the food pantry. He was also a member of the Faith Ministries Board.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Coney of Monticello; his wife of 48 years, Coralie Hulse Coney at home; son Thomas G. Coney of Tampa, FL; daughters Tony Leigh Bolduc and husband Joseph of Smallwood, Terri Tess Coney of Smallwood, Laurene Symanski and husband Vincent of Lake Huntington, NY and Heidi Skarka of Latham, NY; brother Arthur Coney and wife Marge of Monticello; sister Carol Jean MacArthur and husband Stanley of Livingston Manor, NY; four grandchildren, Caitlin, Michael and Christopher Bolduc and Jenna Vellenga; his special buddy Madison and several aunts and uncles; cousins; and nieces and nephews.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh.
Memorial services were held on May 3, 2008 at the White Lake Reformed Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Coon officiating.

DOROTHY B. DISE
Dorothy B. Dise, formerly of Monroe, NY, entered into rest on April 30, 2008 at The Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation in Goshen, NY. She was 89.
She was born in Monroe on July 19, 1918, the fourth daughter of William W. and Peninnah Bull of the Bull family of Orange County, NY. She married William O. Dise on October 5, 1939 and was employed by Highland Telephone Company for over 25 years. They lived in Monroe until they retired and moved to Sun City, AZ. She moved back to Orange County in 1985 when Bill passed away.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband; three sisters, Ethel Plant, Isabella Lippert and Sarah Freese; a baby, William Gregory, who died at birth; and a grandson, James Joseph.
She is survived by sons John P. Dise and wife Judith of Narrowsburg, NY and William Lawrence Dise and wife Lynn of Goshen, NY; niece Penie Jones and husband Ted of Highland Mills, NY; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank everyone at Valley View for Moms care, especially Brenda Suffern, R.N. and the staff of C-100.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Monroe United Methodist Church, 47 Maple Avenue, Monroe. The Rev. Kimberly Bosley will conduct the service and burial will follow at Seamanville Cemetery in Monroe.

JOYCE A. FISHER
Joyce A. Fisher of Narrowsburg, NY, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 68.
The daughter of the late Oscar and Jean Robisch, she was born March 23, 1940 in Callicoon, NY. Joyce was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Narrowsburg. She was the widow of William Fisher.
She is survived by daughter Lori Squires and husband Kenneth of Narrowsburg; brothers James Robisch and wife Mary of Beach Lake, PA and John Robisch and wife Anastacia of Longmont, CO; grandchildren Kyle and Kenneth Squires; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Robisch.
Funeral services were on Monday, May 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Hortonville Presbyterian Church, Hortonville, NY. Burial was in Hortonville Cemetery.

VERA L. HIGHHOUSE
Vera L. Highhouse of Hortonville, NY died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Cortland Care Center, Cortland, NY. She was 87.
Her husband was Delvin Highhouse.
Daughter of the late Elijah and Grace Kellan Highhouse was a retired seamstress. She was a member of the Monticello Seventh Day Adventist Church and of the Delaware Seniors in Callicoon, NY.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Highhouse and wife Judy of Callicoon, Patricia Haesche and husband George of Groton, NY, Milton Highhouse of Belleville, IL and Linda Gotham of Palm Coast, FL; a brother, Norman Kellam of Honesdale, PA; a sister, Eva Gates and husband Archie of Worthington, OH; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Jackson Highhouse and a granddaughter, Karen Haesche.
Friends may call at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main St., Callicoon, on May 12, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Services will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Herbert Poholka presiding.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Galilee, PA.
JARED T. KENYON
Jared T. Kenyon, of Equinunk, PA and Easton, PA, died as a result of injuries in an automobile accident. He was 24.
The son of Timothy and Beth Musso Kenyon, Jared was a student at the Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown, PA.
He is survived by his parents; his brother, Timothy Jr.; two sisters, Juliana and Olivia Kenyon; maternal grandparents, Joan and Pat Musso of Long Eddy, NY; paternal grandfather, Raymond Kenyon of Equinunk; girlfriend Diana Joyce of Easton; several aunts and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Dolores Kenyon.
Services will be Thursday, May 8 at the Braman Church, Braman, PA, at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Alice Pedone presiding.
Interment will be in the Braman Cemetery, Braman, PA.
MAUREEN A. MILLS
Maureen A. Mills of Highland Lake, NY died Friday, May 2, 2008. She was 69.
The daughter of the late Thomas and Ernestine Rohman Kennedy, she was born in Hoboken, NJ, May 16, 1938. Maureen was the loving wife of Ross Mills for 46 years.
She was a longtime business teacher at the Monticello and Fallsburg high schools.
A family statement reads: Maureens infectious love of fun and life embraced her family, friends and all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband, daughter Jennifer and her partner Jamie Tafoya of Durham, NC; sisters Marion and husband Richard of Homer, NY and Dena Kennedy of Fuquay Varina, NC; six nephews, five nieces and numerous grand nephews and grand nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Sue Harshbarger.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday May 6, with the Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiating. Burial was in Montoza Cemetery, Barryville.

EDWARD D. QUICK
Edward D. Quick, age 69, late of Sparrowbush, NY, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Morristown General Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
He was born in Port Jervis, NY on December 3, 1938, the son of the late William N. Quick and Lillian Edwards Quick.
Edward was a retired brakeman/conductor for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad in Port Jervis, NY. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Drew United Methodist Church, Port Jervis, NY, The United Transportation Union, and Port Jervis Lodge of Masons #328 F. & A.M.
After retiring from the railroad, Ed continued working with his wife, Linda, helping with her crafts at The Raspberry Patch.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Walt Quick, at home; one son, Edward D. Quick, Jr. and his wife, Debra of Huguenot, NY; his daughter, Sheryl Quick of Montclair, NJ; four grandchildren: Darien, Alex, Edward III and Erik Quick. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Christina Quick; his former daughter-in-law, Laura Bennett; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, William and Robert Quick.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.

BRUCE LEONARD REICHMANN
Bruce Leonard Reichmann, a lifetime resident of the area, died May 1, 2008 at home. He was 59.
The son of the late Leonard H. and Elsie Buddenhagen Reichmann, he was born February 10, 1949 in Callicoon, NY.
He was a dairy farmer, and member of Holy Cross Church in Callicoon, NY; was a graduate of Delaware Valley Central School, Class of 1967; graduate of Cornell University Class of 1971, and former DVCS School Board Member.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Theysohn Reichmann, at home; two sons, Christopher and his fiancee, Megan Kitson of Callicoon, and William of Somerville, MA; two sisters, Carol Herbert and husband, Ray of Callicoon, and Natalie Kinney and husband, Earl of Hortonville; a special cousin, William Buddenhagen and wife, Michele of Jeffersonville; nieces, Lora McAvoy and husband, Tom, Lisa Smith and husband, Craig; nephews, Scott Herbert and wife, Twila, Mark Herbert and wife, Cindy, Shane Kinney and fiancee, Courtney Whitmore; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Sunday, May 4, at Holy Cross Church, Callicoon, NY with Father Ignatius Smith, OFM officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

SEMON A. RHODES
Semon A. Rhodes of Shohola, PA, a 30-year area resident, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Milford Senior Care, Westfall Twp., PA. He was 92.
The son of the late George H. and Clara Burlingham Rhodes, he was born April 19, 1916 in Jamaica, NY.
He was a retired yardman for Narrowsburg Lumber Co., Shohola, PA.
Mr. Rhodes was a member of the Shohola Fire Department and the Marsch Kellogg American Legion Post #139 in Milford, PA. He was a U.S. Army, World War II veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Hunt of Matamoras, PA and Audrey Miller of Manorville, NY; his son, Allan Rhodes of Chemung, NY; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Alice Mae Rhodes, and his second wife, Margaret Lee Passuth Rhodes.

RICHARD H. WOOSTER
Richard H. Wooster of Port Jervis, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at St. Josephs Place, Port Jervis. He was 81.
He was born in Port Jervis on July 30, 1926, the son of the late Henry O. Wooster and Edna Grant Kallighan Wooster.
Richard was a retired letter carrier for the Port Jervis U.S. Postal System, and was a member of Most Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Port Jervis. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army; a member of Roosa-Fleming V.F.W. Post #161, Port Jervis; a life-member of Hose Co. #5, Port Jervis Fire Dept.; a member of the N.R.A.; a member of the Metaque Hunting Club, Rio, NY; and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
He married Laura Weiss Wooster, who survives. He is also survived by daughters Judith Cramer and husband Allan of Greenville, NY and Patty Ganz and husband David of Sparrowbush, NY; son Richard Wooster and wife Julie of Crystal River, FL; sister Rosemary McGovern of Binghamton, NY; four grandchildren, George, Aaron, Harley and Cheyenne; and a niece and nephew.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. The vigil wake service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be offered Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. at St. Marys R.C. Church, Port Jervis. Rev. George Hafeman will be the celebrant. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.

NIAL WICKHAM WARNER
Nial Wickham Warner, late of Sparrowbush, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at his home. He was 84.
He was born in Port Jervis, NY on November 18, 1923, the son of the late Nial S. Warner and Elma Wickham Warner.
He was a retired postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service at Middletown, NY. Nial was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Marines, a life member of the First Marine Div. Assoc. and the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and a member of the Guadalcanal Campaign Veterans and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal and was twice wounded. Nial was also a member of the Tri-State Naval Ship #7241, Port Jervis, NY.
He was married first to the former Eleanor Utter Warner, who survives, of Milford, PA. He was pre-deceased by his second wife, Jean Vernooy Warner.
He is survived by his son, Alan C. Warner and his wife, Diane of North Hampton, PA; two daughters, Carol Ruh and her husband, Raymond of Matamoras, PA, and Kathy Ruh and her husband, Greg of Milford, PA; his sister, Cynthia Kelder of Burnsville, NC; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear companion, Jerry Ford of Port Jervis, NY; his two stepdaughters, Mary Willis of Texas and Sandy Marsch of Montgomery, NY; one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 5, at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert E. Foster and Rev. Hoag officiating. Interment will take place with Military Honors at Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, PA.
