Milford Music Festival, previously cancelled, is on again

MILFORD, PA — After announcing a cancellation earlier this year, the Milford Music Festival Board of Directors has announced that this year is a go after all. The festival, now in its sixth year, will take place in Ann Street Park on the weekend of July 12 and 13.

The board reevaluated its earlier decision, made in light of a slack economy, when local business leaders came forward to offer more financial support to the festival.

In 2007, the festival attracted more than 7,000 people. This year, eight acts are planned for the main stage in Ann Street Park on Saturday. On Sunday, the Music in the Park group will showcase some of the talent it has lined up for its summer series on the festival’s main stage. Other events will include Saturday night after-party events, musical acts in various restaurants and stores on the main streets and a Sidewalk Shopping Festival.

To help offset the cost of the free festival, a wine and cheese fundraiser is scheduled for Thursday, June 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Laurel Villa. The fundraising event will feature a live musical act and silent auction.
