Dinner, with a side of murder

Big Sky’s dinner theatre production of

“B-I-N-G-O Spells Murder” will benefit the Woodbourne Action Committee

WOODBOURNE, NY — Big Sky Productions of Grahamsville brings “B-I-N-G-O Spells Murder” to the Woodbourne Fire House in a dinner theatre performance on Saturday, May 3. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:00.

A benefit for the Woodbourne Action Committee, “B-I-N-G-O Spells Murder,” by Robert Mattson, will feature John Neails of Monticello, R.J. Smith and Sommer Johansen, both of Jeffersonville, Carol Bliefernich of Highland Lake, Lonnie Smith and Constance Lawrence of Divine Corners and Michael Valentine of Livingston Manor. The story opens with Father O’Sullivan, head of the financially challenged Our Lady of Almost Lost Causes Orphanage, trying to conduct a bingo game to raise money for the final mortgage payment. In the meantime, he has young people struggling with their blooming relationship, real estate developers who want to turn the House of God into the Condos of God, a mobster who is struggling with the English language and a bookkeeper who’s struggling with her need for everything to be perfect. When one of the characters gets killed and money disappears, just about everyone has a motive. Plus, there just might be a bingo game to wrap up the performance. Who knows?

Guests are welcome to bring their own liquid refreshments. “B-I-N-G-O Spells Murder” is directed by Big Sky’s longtime artistic director Carol Montana, who has directed over 30 plays

Admission costs $25 for a homemade dinner, salad, dessert and the show.

Reservations are suggested, as last year’s show sold out quickly. For more information call 845/434-4297 or 434-3147.
