Extreme fly fishing

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY—The tone for The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum’s new exhibit, “Stream Xtremes,” will be set by this seven-foot painting of a diving trout that will greet all comers at the entrance of the museum. Paul Thiesing’s creative multi media art exhibit will open on Saturday, May 3 with a meet-the-artist reception at 2:00 p.m. The exhibit will consist of more than 30 pieces of Thiesing’s extreme interpretations of stream-related experiences captured in sculpture, paintings and carvings.

Nature reborn at PEEC concert

Native American performers join with modern composer to celebrate the return of spring

DINGMANS FERRY, PA—The Kindred Spirits Arts Programs will present “Native Voices Of The Past And Present” at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC). Featured in this celebration of nature’s rebirth are pianist and composer David Amram and his friends, singer-musician Victorio Roland Vargas Moussa, and native musicians, dancers and story tellers Matoaka Little Eagle and Powhatan Swift Eagle.
