‘Naughty Operetta’ provides an entrée into the world of opera

GLEN SPEY, NY — The Town of Lumberland Cultural Series will present the Delaware Valley Opera (DVO) in “Naughty Operetta” at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4 at the Lumberland Town Hall.

The music of Victor Herbert and Sigmund Romberg is featured in this program, which includes highlights from “Naughty Marietta,” “The Student Prince” and “New Moon.” The program is popular with audiences of all ages, and has provided a point of access to the world of opera for those unexperienced with operatic performances.

The audience will have an opportunity to meet DVO soprano Jodi Weatherstone, baritone Mark Gargiulo and artistic director and tenor/pianist Jim Blanton at a reception following the performance.

Admission costs $8 for adults and $4 for children. Tickets are available at the door.
