New exhibition space debuts in Port

PORT JERVIS, NY — UpFront Exhibition Space at 31 Jersey Avenue will open its doors on Thursday, May 1 with the show “Convergence,” featuring the work of 17 area artists. There will be an artists’ reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Live music will be provided by John Curtin.

UpFront will showcase a regular rotation of artists and will have themed shows changing every six to eight weeks. The space will host special events, open mic nights, poetry readings, live music shows and small group meetings such as The Artist’s Way.

The gallery invites small business owners to underwrite the art and the artists. Sponsorship comes at several different levels.
