A day for the family at green expo and film festival

MILFORD, PA — The Green Power Alliance will present an energy expo, symposium and environmental film festival titled “Your Coal Connection” on Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Pocono Environmental Education Center, on Route 209, 15 minutes south of Milford.

Jeff Barrie, maker of the award-winning documentary, “Kilowatt Ours, A Plan to Re-Energize America,” along with four West Virginia coalfield residents, will help participants to understand the devastating effects of mountaintop removal mining and solutions for a greener, healthier future. Enjoy a barbeque lunch or bring your own picnic. There will be films, green exhibits, music by Wooden Spoon and miles of nature trails at PEEC’s facility.
