Reading and talking about writing
Glen Spey author Going comes to the Delaware Arts Center
NARROWSBURG, NY The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance will present local young adult author KL Going reading from a selection her books on Saturday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main Street.
On her website klgoing.com, Going, who lives in Glen Spey, explains how she became inspired to share her stories with the world. As a kid, I was always writing stories for fun, but I didnt plan on being an author. I was planning on joining the Peace Corps. Writing was something I did for pleasure, she recalls. I wrote my first complete book in high school. It was a fantasy novel. After that, I was always working on something. It wasnt until much later, when I got a job in publishing, that I first considered submitting my work for publication.
Goings novels include Fat Kid Rules the World, The Liberation of Gabriel King, Saint Iggy, The Garden of Eve and Writing and Selling the Young Adult Novel.
The suggested donation for admission to the reading is $3. A reception follows will follow.
The event is made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency.
