Roots & Rhythm raffle is up and running
HONESDALE, PA Tickets are now available for the Honesdale Roots & Rhythm Music & Arts Festivals annual raffle, with only 5,000 tickets available. Revenue from raffle ticket sales is one of the major sources of funds that allow festival organizers to stage the free one-day event featuring national and international musical entertainers.
Tickets cost $5; and new this year, Roots & Rhythm is offering six tickets for $25.
This years prizes have an overall value of $8,000, and include a custom-built, hand-painted, Florance/George Guitar, valued at $5,500; a $1,000 music gift certificate, courtesy of Connections Magazine; a 26-inch Toshiba Flat-Panel LCD HD TV, valued at $700, courtesy of Music & Video Express; two Flex Tix Packages (14 tickets each) for the 2008 Wildflower Music Festival Season at Dorflinger, valued at $560 each; a Wayne County Arts Alliance Hour Town Guitar Clock, hand painted and designed by artist Jim Gaglione, valued at $300; a pair of three-day passes to the 2008 Pocono Blues Festival valued at $75; a pair of concert tickets to the 11th Annual Briggs Farm Blues Fest valued at $100; and a hand-crafted, quilted Roots & Rhythm Wall Hanging, courtesy of A Stitch in Time, valued at $150.
The festival will be held on Saturday, June 21, throughout downtown Honesdale and Central Park, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The raffle drawing will be held from the Main Stage in Central Park at approximately 8:00 p.m. Ticket purchasers do not have to be present to win.
