Tools of the trade
When it comes to tools of the trade as a realtor, my life is pretty simple. I need keys.
Its a great system, those shiny metal objects that dangle from a key ring. Sometimes the temperamental ones that dont quite fit the lock must be jiggled. Others are hidden in the plastic doggie-do or stashed high in the air out of reach. Yet through all of that, I understand how they work. The world unfortunately has become hi-tech, and so has the system for holding keys.

Turn off, tune out and drop in
You wouldnt know it to look at me, but I belong to perhaps the smallest minority group in our country. It has nothing to do with my skin color or religion. I dont have a freakish medical condition or an abnormal psychological tic. But I am conspicuously different from 99 percent of you.
For the past 11 years, I have lived in a home without a television.
No television? you gasp. Thats not only odd, its downright bizarre and yes, completely un-American.

Slugging through
I find my thoughts very circular recently and Im feeling trapped in them. I wish I had some clever line to describe it further. I tell myself that Ive got nothing to say except that I work too much. And, if you are an avid reader of this column that comes as no surprise. But thats really not the whole it.
