Galaxy of tri-state artists kicks off Artery’s season

MILFORD, PA — “Emergence” is the theme for the Artery Gallery’s first Spring Exhibition. The exhibition will feature the work of 25 artists who were invited to submit artwork, juried by Susan Hope Fogel, the well-known painter and art authority of Warwick, NY. The participating artists are from the tri-state area: from New Jersey, Winnie O’Dougherty; from New York, Nick Roes, Sarah McHugh, Linda Bastian, Tanya Laurer, Joan Kehlenbeck, Mary Jo Ben-Nun, Laura Martinez-Bianco, Matilda Grech, San San Yu, Linda Nadas, Rachel Bertoni, Jacinthe Battaglino, Heidi Lanino Bilezikian, Karen Decher, Michael Gaydos, Rosita Gilsenari, Janet Howard-Fatta, Nancy Hull Kearing and Dan Mack; from Pennsylvania, Leslie Parkin, Anna Creegan, Thomas Murphy, D.B. Van Steenburgh and Philomena Vardaro.

Along with the artwork from the above listed artists will be new works from the 20 member artists of the Artery.

The exhibition opens Thursday, April 3 and ends on Monday, May 5. An artists’ reception will be held Saturday, April l2 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., coinciding with Milford’s Art After Dark town-wide event. The reception will be free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

This is the Artery’s sixth year in its present location in the historic Forest Hall Building, at the stoplight in Milford. Gallery hours are Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
