While some people deem performance to be the only real standard to evaluate an athlete, the truth is that every young person, who applies himself or herself to becoming better, forges something that endures a lifetime, regardless of how his or her performance ranks against others.

Tri-Valley teammates Fiedler and Khan place as well; Roosa runs two-mile

NEW YORK, NYTri-Valley weight throwers Garret Grey, Tanzeel Khan and Bob Fiedler, as well as long-distance runner Courtney Roosa, all qualified for this years nationals held at the Armory Track and Field Center on March 14 through 16. Roosa ran the two mile and finished 38th with a time of 11:52.20, which was her lifetime best.
The girls four mile relay of Roosa (5:21), Rachel Sanborn (5:41), Caroline Berthols (5:42) and Shannon Hornbeck (6:02) set a new school record of 22:49.61. They broke a prior record set in 1983.
