A female bald eagle leaves the nest after being relieved of incubation duty by her mate. Notable for this year is that most pairs along the Upper Delaware corridor have started incubation an average of 7-10 days earlier than last year.

For every time there is a season
During the month of March, nature is undergoing a change. It is still too early for plant life to bloom in full force, yet there are creatures on the move as the days gradually get longer and the snow pack diminishes. Deer forage for freshly exposed browse and fresh buds still hidden by the duff layer. Bear are emerging from their dens to forage, sometimes leaving a spilled trash can as a calling card. Many different species of birds are on the move, some departing and some arriving in the region.

Catching monsters in the Lackawaxen
LACKAWAXEN, PAThis year, there will be 100 monster trout stocked in the Lackawaxen River in time for opening day of trout season in Pennsylvania, Saturday, April 12. The stocking will be done courtesy of an initiative of the Business Owners of Lackawaxen Township.
