Input sought on managing Northeast PA resources

PENNSYLVANIA — The Pocono Northeast Resource Conservation and Development Council (RC&D Council) is requesting public input to identify a diverse listing of resource needs and opportunities within its area, which includes Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne counties.

The RC&D Council’s mission is to enhance and improve the ecological, cultural and economic characteristics of the area through projects and programs that promote the management, protection and sustainable utilization of the area’s resources.

The council is developing an area plan for 2008. It will guide the RC&D Council for the next five years (2009-2014). To view the current area plan or to download a copy of the feedback survey, visit pnercd.org.
