LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — The Hudson Valley Golden Retriever Club (HVGRC) will hold its all-breed AKC agility trial at the Sullivan County Community College Field House, Route 52, on Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21. There will be 330 runs per day, judged by Terry Brown. The HVGRC’s 28th annual specialty show (including sweepstakes), obedience and rally trial will be held on Saturday, March 22. This mini-Westminster dog show is for golden retrievers only, and boasts some of the country’s top-winning goldens as they compete for the coveted Best In Specialty Show win. Sweepstakes are held at the start of the day for puppies and goldens up to 18 months.

The HVGRC was established several decades ago by a group of dedicated golden retriever fanciers. Today, it is a member club of the Golden Retriever Club of America and is licensed by the American Kennel Club. HVGRC’s 80 members are golden retriever owners, breeders, exhibitors, trainers and judges. Together, they sponsor club activities that range from educational to competitive to fun.
