Easter frolics
Orienteering eggstravaganza at PEEC
DINGMANS FERRY, PA The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) will hold its fourth annual Orienteering Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. During the event, children ages nine years and up will learn to navigate PEECs orienteering course with a map and compass, and find rewards all along the way. Children 8 years and under, accompanied by their parents, will navigate around PEECs campus using a map and will find plenty of surprises along the way.
Crafts and egg dyeing will be available and refreshments will also be available for a nominal fee. Spaces are limited, so pre-registration is highly recommended. Admission costs $5 per person and is free for children 3 years and under. For more information call 570/828-2319.
Liberty Easter egg hunt
LIBERTY, NY The Town of Liberty Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 15 at 12:00 noon at the Liberty Main Street Stage on North Main Street. Children from one to eight years old are invited to come with a bag or basket to search for eggs, get their picture taken with the Easter bunny, and have a chance to win a basket full of Easter goodies. Easter Bunny hops into Yulan
YULAN, NY The Yulan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host a visit from the Easter Bunny at the Yulan firehouse at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. There will be games and crafts for children of all ages and goodie bags to take home, compliments of the Easter Bunny. Refreshments will be provided and firemen will be on hand to show the children the fire trucks and their gear. To make a donation or for more information, call 845/557-6090.
Easter breakfast, egg hunt and parade
MAMAKATING, NY The Town of Mamakating will sponsor a childrens breakfast, egg hunt and bonnet parade on Saturday, March 22 at the Town of Mamakating Park. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny starts at 9:00 a.m. The bonnet parade steps off at 10:00 a.m., followed at 10:30 a.m. by an egg hunt. There will also be face painting.
