2008 DIGit calls for submissions

REGION — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance is calling for video and audio works for the fifth annual DIGit Media Exposition, set for Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15 in Narrowsburg, NY. Both amateur and professional media artists are welcome to submit. Works will be presented in several venues throughout Narrowsburg, including the Delaware Arts Center and the Tusten Theatre. A panel of professional videographers, filmmakers and sound artists jury the works and present awards in several categories. A $1,000 cash prize will be awarded for Best in Show and a $500 prize will be awarded for Best Audio. Winning works will be screened on Saturday, June 14 at the Tusten Theatre.

All submissions must be received on or before Saturday, April 5, 30 minutes or less on DVD (video) or CD (audio), and of exhibition quality. They must be accompanied by one completed submission form per entry, and accompanied by a $10 submission fee per disc. Multiple works by one artist are permitted.

Submissions will not be returned, so do not send originals.

DIGit is a digital media exposition that encourages creative and technical excellence and experimentation among individual artists and small groups working with digital tools. The Fifth Annual DIGit Media Exposition will be held June 13–15, 2008 in Narrowsburg, NY and will include continuous screenings, site specific performances, percussion concerts and audio and video installations in and around Narrowsburg’s Main Street and the Delaware River.
