Grant seminars for cultural programming

MONTICELLO, NY — The Sullivan County Legislature has provided funding in the 2008 budget to assist nonprofit organizations to present cultural programming in Sullivan County during 2008. Administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, the Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grants Program is accepting applications for 2008 funding.

Seminars on how to fill out the forms and develop proposals will be held on Thursday, March 6, 6:30 p.m. in the Hearing Room in the Sullivan County Government Center, 100 North Street; and on Saturday, March 8 at 11:00 p.m. at the Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main Street in Narrowsburg. Sullivan County nonprofit arts groups and community organizations are eligible, such as literary groups, choral groups, historical societies, orchestras, libraries, etc.

The minimum funding request and grant is $300; the maximum is $2,500. All projects must take place before December 31, 2008. Applications must reach the Arts Alliance office by April 11, 2008. This is not a postmark deadline. Faxes or emails are not accepted.
