Eco-Challenge weekend gets girls outside

CLARYVILLE, NY — Frost Valley YMCA will host the Girl Scout Eco-Challenge Weekend on Friday through Sunday, March 28 to 30. The event will be devoted to all things outside, from the ways animals live in their habitats to learning about and enjoying the outdoor environment safely. It is open to Girl Scouts of all ages, from Brownies to Seniors. The weekend is a great opportunity for young women to reach their scouting goals in a supportive environment. In addition to these activities, time is set aside for seasonal Frost Valley traditions, such as maple sugaring, which usually peaks in late March.

The Scout Weekend, priced at $95 per person, includes lodging, meals and programming for the entire weekend. Day rates for local Scout toops are also available. A second Girl Scout-themed weekend is planned in the fall for the weekend of Friday, November 14.
